Default DFI 7 Password

My tuner put a password on my DFI box does anyone know how to bypass that?
I wanted to tinker with it on the weekend and I got locked out. Password protected.

If you had the tuner tune it for you, why did you want to tinker with it? Isn't everything worked out for you already? Unless you think it's lacking in some aspects, I wouldn't touch it yourself unless you have access to a dyno and a wideband. If you think it needs improvement, take it back to the tuner and tell them you're not satisfied and want them to reprogram it some more.

That is so true, I have the same problem. its like big brother watching.

Who pays for the DFI? U do! who pays for the installation? U do? who pays for the tuning? U do,who pays if the motor blows even after the tuner tunes the car? U do!
and who pays if U f... up the tuning parameters?, U guessed correctly! U do
With this said, why are the boxes still locked?
If I was the tuner, I would open them and hope and pray that U fucked it up so I can charge U again to tune the second time around.
But.......... Big Brother is watching and he does not want anyone to see the maps. Plus they are also ensuring that U can only get the car tuned if U come back to their shop.

this is how it works...

tuners that really KNOW how to tune ur car have most likely been doing it for a long time... and in that case they dont want some newbie tuner to rip off the way they tune... not to mention when they tune ur car u shouldne need to mess with it... afterall it is tuned...

basically they are saying if u dont like the fact i lock the program so u cant touch it... go someplace else... but what can u do when the tuners that are locking it are some of the best tuners out there
