Detonation towards redline! how to solve.
I have a D16y8 with the apexi turbo kit running 7psi. i am using the greddy blue box for fuel management at the current moment untill funds allow something better. in second gear and above my car makes a crackling/poping noise towards redline, about 6k and above. what should i do to prevent this. do i need to retard timing and if so how much is a good number? i know i probably need injectors and better fuel management, i just can't afford it right now so im looking for other possible solutions.

depending on base timing, air/fuel ratio, amount of boost, plug gap etc......roughly .3 - .75 degree's per psi is about rite...
