There is alot of variables that go into this aside from pounds...size of the turbo etc.

Yessir.

Why the B16? What are your goals with the car?

If you plan on boosting it....I'd say it would be alot easier to upgrade the internals now...it will be ALOT less work in the long wrong.

Sell your spare D series parts to make some money...get the internals fixed up on the B before you put it in...and then work on your boost goals from there. Alot of people start out just saying oh yeah just a little bit of boost...then they get the itch because they know how much they COULD have with just a little bit more work.

Upgrade the internals before you put it in if you plan on doing it down the road at all...just my .02

Set a power goal. There are plenty of people making good power on stock B16 bottom ends. I would say get the swap in and driving and then start selling your Dseries junk while collecting Bseries turbo parts and researching.

stock b16a2 here t3/t4 57 trim .63 ar....325 hp at 11 psi for a year, bumped it up to 17psi for the past year with boost by gear...motor is still strong no issues. do a leakdown and compression test to make sure it a healthy motor.

For 250whp, guesstimated that would be 275-280ish to the crank.... 7-9lbs should do the trick. But as someone else already stated, slap that B16 in there, sell your D series stuff and buy up the turbo set up... and save up for the internals. A stock B16 shouldn't have any trouble handling 6-8psi (daily driven), but if you want to go higher on boost, I would suggest getting internals done....... and everyone... EVERYONE always wants more boooooooooost. lol

Yeah...sorry I forgot how much stock internals on the Bs can handle...im SOHC

...still...if you feel like later down the road you might want to go higher and the funds are available it would be easier to do it before you put it in...best of luck with all of this
