Darton Sleeves Are they any good
I am thinking of sending my block to get Darton Sleeves put in it but I am wondering if anybody has had any problems with them
And what head gasket do I use with these sleeves
The motor is a B16a that is going to run 25psi at the track and 15psi daily

Go with darton, you wont be dissapointed. I run those in my fully built h23a and i have nothing but good things to say about the sleeves.

Re: Darton Sleeves Are they any good (pimpracer)
I sent my b16a block across the country to Darton in CA. They finished my custom pro-kit install in a week, and then shipped it back to me 3-day in a rush.
Good on the phone, good on tech support, pleased w/ their custom machine work for me,... I got nothing but thumbs up so far...

Re: Darton Sleeves Are they any good (Sinitron)
i have a 95 gsr block that i am going to get the darton sleeves. i got je 9:1 84mm pistons w/ eagle rods. Which kit should i get for my block (plan on running 20+ psi). What is the difference in pricing and are allthe kits close deck design. SHould i get the standard bore and just bore it out to a 84mm being that the pistons were used(500 miles). Also what kind of rod bolts and head studs do you guys recommend using with these sleeves?

About 2 years ago i believe Darton quoted me around 800ish to resleeve my h23a on an expedited order (= more $). Benson's out in california also can sleeve your block, he is very credible guy and know what he is doing. If you need to get a hold of Benson's i believe Earl has his number.

Re: Darton Sleeves Are they any good
Darton sleeves are great, they've been around for a long time. They actually make sleeves for builders such as benson, ERL and so forth. If anyone is interested I have a set of Darton MID sleeves for any GSR/TypeR/LS block. I actually found a block with sleeves already installed.

Re: Darton Sleeves Are they any good
Darton sleeves are a fantastic product. But no matter what "brand" you choose, a sleeve is only as good as the machine shop who installs them.
