Daily Driven on drag radials?
I just cannot get any traction whatsoever on a street tire. I know of a 1994 camaro on drag radials that is daily driven at my school and they seem to be holding up well for him. I wanted to know if anyone here is driving thier car everyday with drag radials and how are they holding up?
ALso where is the best place to buy a pair of 205/50/15 drag radials.

They are fine to drive on daily but there is some downsides to it. DO NOT drive in the rain with them, no traction. and they wear out fast.
How much power are you making?
TireRack sells 205/50/15 BF G-Force T/A's for 115.00 each.
Why not step up to a 225/50/15 if you're having such traction issues, more contact path the better.

My bfg drag radials dont last long at all. Youd be lucky to get 3,000 miles out of em' Mine work descent in the rain though.(not that I drive it in the rain much).

bfgs can be driven in the rain as long as you got some tread on them. i drove around for 3 years with nothing but radials on.. they usally last about 3,000 miles if you dont make much power and arent doing stupid stuff... once i started making over 450whp they would last about 700-1000 miles because it would break them lose in pretty much any gear

lol what? qfast...what bfg are you referring to?
I'm making 300+whp, semi-daily driven on bfg g-force sports....of course they light up 1+2, but no hopping so I'm happy....very good treadwear btw

17k eh? Thats what im looking for.
Right now my goals are 300-350whp daily driven (seasonal). Those tires are pretty cheap but if you guys are getting only 3k out of them f--- it.

this is what i heard about them too, but right now im gonna disagree with it.
ive put probably around 5k ish on mine, with somewhere around 20-25 passes at the track, and id say they still have about 1/3 of the treadpatten left.
sometimes ill toss them on for the track, and leave them on for a few weeks, especially if i know ill be hitting the track a few times in there. i run them at about 35-38psi on the street, they are OK in the rain, ive had better but ive had worse, and they definately stop me from spinning tire from 6-8k rpms, so i dont have to shift early and fall out of boost/vtec

I've been running bfg drag radials for many years now, and have been through handfuls of them. When the tread gets low, they dont hook as good, which causes even more wheelspin, resulting in bald bfg's in no time. Im making about 450whp. For a mild street setup, you'll probably get a little more out of em.

To those people saying that BF t/A getting 3k miles, i dont know how you guys drive. I guess you're doing burnt out everywhere you go? So far i have put about 5-6k miles on my bf t/a and they are at about 60-70% atleast left i would say.
They drive fine in the rain, you just have to use common sense and not drive over a huge puddle doing 80, anything will lsoe control.
I use BF T/A while im on the job, delivery 4 life

yes, power factors in there, and i didnt take that into account. im making around 100whp less than you are.

There are tons of BFG T/A's, and not all of them are drag radials, learn to read. They make G-Force T/A KD's (dry), KDW's (dry and wet), KDWS' (dry, wet, and snow), Drag Radials, Radial T/A, and Traction T/A tires. We're specifically talking about the T/A Drag Radials, you probably have the KDW's and they will last much, much longer than the DR's.

^^^ i have the kdw on my car when i dont use the radials, for a street tire they hook pretty good, almost suprisingly good for how the treadwear is holding up

I ran my drag radials for about 5K and I raced about 30 times at the track, doing big burnouts everytime, and doing many freeway pulls. As long as your alignment is good, they should last a decent amount of time for the kind of tire they are.

^^ man speaks the truth they can really catch you off guard in the rain and if you live up north forget about it in the winter, and they do wear out quick becasue of the soft compount...
the only experience ive had was with bfg gforce drag radials and they actualy lasted suprisingly long, there still on the road now

ive personally run the bfg 225's on my stock 15" gsr wheels.....ive driven on them for about 6500 miles now unaligned...they seem to be hodling up pretty good...considering id usually roast azenies in about 8k miles....but these tires are awesome for straight line grip....the rain is a lil testy because of less treading....but its not undoable...i dd my car as a delivery driver....you just have to adapt your drivin style...aka dont rip 2nd gear wot and expect the tires to stick....just common sense.....but i really dont have many complaits about the tire....id say they'd last prob about 5-6000 more miles before id hit the wear bars....but even at that...then they'd hook better at the track but youd need another set for dd inspected use....
with a tire like drag radials, alignment is KEY to treadwear.
well, with most tires it is! i cant believe how many un-aligned hondas are out there too! haha
i love my BFG DR's, ran mid 12's with them..

they are great track tires but I would really love to drive around town all day with them and not worry about rain or traction thus the reason I want to run them.
It just does not sound logical? I can get a set of 4 new tires on ebay for my ITR wheels for $250 shipped/4. Another $80 to mount/balance them.
