Yeah I know, too much money for the horsepower gain. But fear not my friend has been kinda enough to gift me an SLK supercharger. Now this isn't my main motor, I have a b16 set aside for a turbo build, but as my dd motor I wanted a little more kick out this car. He told me it isn't a slap more power build. There more part i'll need and he mentioned a mount for the supercharger on to the d16z6. I was wondering what else I would need to complete this build. I know i need a tuning ecu or chipped ecu such as AEM or preferably Hondata. Please help me out for this

 

Hondata for tuning IMO. Getting a SLK supercharger fitted onto your z6 motor? That's going to be 100% custom. Good luck.

 

you'll need an intake manifold and a pulley setup. (i assume SLK's spin clockwise so you'll have to find a way to set up a belt for that also)

 

I figured. The mount for the supercharger is going to be all custom metal work. not sure what eles I would need custom though

i can't recommend anything, as there isn't anything made for your setup.

 

Nothing I can really suggest since I have never seen done before. If the rotors spin the "incorrect" way, you would have to flip them to spin correctly. Pretty much everything you can think of will need to be custom. You would probably want to use the Alternator belt as the S/C belt as along as the pulley lines up of course. You would probably need to fabricate a tensioner pulley set-up, bolt it to the motor, and then have the alternator/bracket bolt to that.

I only have experience with the bolt on JRSC for the D series, which is "easy" compared to what you are looking to do.

 

As far as engine mods go, would i have to have forged internals or a built bottom end and head to run it?

 

If you are asking the general question "do i need to upgrade internal for boost?" The answer is no.

I ran 7 psi making 165 whp on my JRSC. This was on a stock internal block.
