d16y8 inside intake manifold..
hey guyz anyone ever change out the injectors on y8?? there's some plastic piece in the manifold. i took those out can it hurt my motor? will it make my motor run bad? let meknow tia

what year y8 manifold was it?
where exactly where the plastic things.. i know of a few
one on the injector tip
one on the injector at the manifold - black big o-ring

hmm its where ok.. lets see.. how to explain.. when u take out the stock obd2 injectors there's black o-rings then under the o rings there are these plastic circle pieces.. get it? damn i gotta take pics of them.. just wondering if their important. cuz my obd1 injectors didnt fit with those things in it. so i took them out. TIA

Probably plastic spacers.
If your new injectors fit now, then don't worry about it. Just make sure it seats correctly w/o leaking. Fuel + hot engine = whooosh!
