Default D16y7 turbo

Is it possible to leave the stock intake manifold on with the 3 wire iacv and still convert to obd1? Or do I for sure have to swap the manifold? I've read a few forums where people didn't swap their manifold and I don't know how they did it unless they are running a afc hack.....but on the forums it don't say what they are using for a tune. Can someone help me out? I really don't want to have to do the intake manifold swap but if that's the only way to run obd1 then I will, but if there's another way like unplugging it or disabling it please let me know.

You can to convert to a 2 wire IACV - the OBD1 ECU can't handle a 3 wire.

Converting to 2 wire is swapping the manifold right? So there absolutely no way I can Disable iacv through chrome and be obd1 with the original manifold and a repinned b plug?

You can disable it, but for a daily driven car, it isn't a good idea - you'll seriously hurt your cold-start drivability and gas mileage. I don't know why you're so intent on keeping the Y7 intake manifold, anyway. It'll make sourcing charge piping a righteous pain in the ***, and on top of that, the Y7 IM is just bad. You can find a cheap Z6 IM easily - it'll be well worth your while to do so.
