D16y5 boosted w/ S300 question
I've read a bunch of articles and or threads about the Y5 and how it works.. But I didn't see anything that would answer my question.
My question is, If I boost a Y5 can I use S300 w/o any issues?
TIA
Shane

Re: D16y5 boosted w/ S300 question (RICE POLICE SIP)
The only issue is the conversion harness when you use an obd1 S300'd ecu. Otherwise its just like a D16Y8 but with a different cam/lifters (uses the same head casting). You'll have to fiddle with the basemap, since it won't have the same ignition values as a D16Y8, since its VTEC-E. The HX should use the 4-wire O2, it was the VX that used the 5-wire - meaning no obvious issues with Hondata.
