All you turbo honda people with FMU's are the ones that get crappy gas milage..get a real fuel system and you will find your fuel milage will change little with a turbo.

liam
So damn true. Only time I get good mileage is on the hwy which is still 34mpg. What city mileage do you people with standalones get?

all I wanna do is just run high 13's....ok & i would have to use premium.....
you can do high 13's with turbo np with teh sohc. there are plenty of people who spend the amount of money they would have spent on a swap, but instead they just bulletproof their d16 blocks instead(sleeves, rods pistons ect), then turbo. many of them are getting around 300-400 whp, which will easily get you into high 13's. If i were you, i would turbo it now, and if later you still need more power, bulletproof it

looking for a bulletproof sohc setup?

I'll be pulling my motor soon and am looking for a good home for it:

D16z6
sleeved, solid deck, cunningham rods, arias 8:1 pistons, intake/exhaust ported, intake mani portmatched, oversized tb portmatched, aem cam gear, arp head bolts.

anyway if interested. lemme know.

If you got the cash...the Apexi kit is a very nice kit for the d16. Apexi or custom IMO.

I have a D16Y8 with a greddy kit only running 5psi and I can smoke an SI and a good portion of the 5.0 mustangs that think it would be fun to race me.

You can smoke a 5.0 with only 5 psi. I don't think so.

On-topic: Go for the Si, they are really nice cars my friend owns one and it's fun to drive. Just think how much better an Si could be with a turbo, rather than the SOHC EX...

Later,

Brett
