d16 turbo guru's l00k!
Well i went over my friends last night to take apart his old motor. He drives a 1990 SI hatch with a z6 swap and a cable SI tranny with a t3/t4 turblow,sds..blah blah blah. Well He just got his new motor back so his new one will be in soon.
Here are some pictures of his old pistons.. This car ran 12.0 on slicks and he had this setup running 15lbs for about a year so one with this motor/well pistons...

my guess: looks like the piston couldnt withstand the tensile stress and ripped apart. =P

That creates or adds to detonation which was not the problem.
Those valves must be mangled too
