d16 + T3 turbo + 6psi = 206 fwhp
We got done building my friends turbo CRX last weekend and just got back from teh dyno today, 6 days later. Its a d16a6 with a z6 head, SRP pistons, rods, and zex street/strip cam. Thermal 3" exhaust, 2" downpipe, and b18 throttle body. It has an '89 integra ecu in it. Timing is 15 degrees base. I choose a 60 trim T3 turbo with the "standard" wheel. Its externally gated with a Tial 40mm. 450cc DSM injectors, 2g DSM intercooler, my stock 1g turbo DSM fuel pump, V-AFC hack and lots of DSM turbo knowledge went into this car. Right off the bat the a/f was allmost perfect. I richened it up at 4500-5000 and it was between 11.5-12 A/F ratio. That netted us 206 hp, 160 torque with it still pulling but had to shut down at 7000rpm's because we were going to fast on the tires and the shop didn't want to risk a blowout. HP and TQ were still climbing when we shut the party short at 7000rpm's.
Oh yeah, boost was set at 6 PSI!!! LOL

Re: d16 + T3 turbo + 6psi = 206 fwhp (Bryson)
8.7:1 compression ratio. Also, we do have dyno graphs and they will be scanned and posted for the unbelievers. Me and my friend were shocked. Their was a ton of DSM experience from me and other guys that went into this honda. It was sorta experiemental and seemed to work out real well. We were planning on 12 psi in the future after the J&S safeguard is purchased. Oh yeah, pump gas as well.

One thing DSM folks are "experienced" with is boost creep and boost spikes. I highly suspect that was the case here.
I'll bet dollars to donuts your intake manifold was *not* @ 6 psi @ 7000 rpm's when (if...without a scan) it pulled 206 hp to the wheels.

NO spiking. We are using a tial 40mm with the weakest spring they sell which is set at 5.7 psi. Also, if it would've spiked that would've happened at the boost threshold at 3000rpm's when it hit. HOwever, max power was made at the highest recorded rpm. One one pull it was ran to 6800 rpm's and the other 7000 or theirabouts. Please don't insult me.

Hey dude, not insulting... just doubting. You gotta admit there's a lot of crap floating around this list, so you should expect some skepticism without some sort of proof (like a scan).
BTW, I just read the title a little closer... 206 *f*whp. Are you talking flywheel?? That would give you about 175-180 whp. Very do-able a 6 psi. But we never talk in terms of flywheel hp. What kind of dyno did you do this on?

206 front wheel hp. Went 14.3@103.8 mph tonight. Hopefully it'll be scanned tomorrow. Between work and going to the track tonight their has been no time. I'm putting my tranny back on tomorrow so i'll bug him to scan it. It was on a Dynojet dyno. The AFC said 0.36 BAR and the boost gauge said 5-6 psi tonight on the ride home when I asked him to lay into it.

You'll be able to tell if it had boost creep by the torque curve. If it is flat or climbing towards redline then it had boost creep...
edit: just re-read the original post. It says hp and tq were still climbing at 7k. Sorry folks, but that just doesn't happen on a d16 w/o boost creep...

Good job. Thats incredible for 6PSI. Don't forget with all those DSM'ers helping you if you need a tranny rebuild they could probably do it w/ a blindfold on.

Re: d16 + T3 turbo + 6psi = 206 fwhp (Civic_95_Si)
I'm a dsm guy so watch out I'm getting my new ACT clutch finished up today. I really don't have any reason to lie here. I mean, i'm dsm hardcore and that little crx is pretty impressive. I really have no reason to talk hondas up. The times last night were fairly poor, just no traction on 185 series dunlop D-60's. The owner has to get used to the newfound power I guess.
EDIT: No boost creep. That tial is keeping the boost in check, and we have a 1" dumptube. Boost creep is one of the things I was looking for since I'm the one doing the tuning on the car and I don't want him to be accidently overboosting. The tial works great. The biggest spike seen so far is 7 psi, and it settles to 6psi real quick and holds that to the 7000 rpm shift point. The cam really comes on up top and the turbo is just getting into its efficency range.

if the numbers are real, congratulations! 206 hp from 6 psi is damn impressive. way more hp than my y8 made at 7.

Re: d16 + T3 turbo + 6psi = 206 fwhp (Daniel)
Anybody got webspace and willing to host the dyno graph and the timeslip? I'll give anybody that wants it the phone # to the shop that dynoed it if nobody believes me. I just got the jpeg files 1 hour ago.
EDIT: a friend is hosting them for me
