Default d16 itb turbo.

Hi,

my daily drive is finaly a fun ride. street tuning the fuel at the moment, and staying below 5000rpm, untill i change oil.

wanted something diffrent, went with what i had, and cheap new or second hand parts, and made all that i could myself.

parts:
garrett gt28r
scat rods
new oem p2p pistons. 10:1 cr
honda cbr itb's
bisimoto valvesprings
mild port jobb (my first, so nothing major, )
bosch ev6 injectors 588cc at 5bar (sized to be able to run e85 in the future)
using winshieldwiper fluid for cooling of the IC.

rebuildt tranny with obx diff and 4.25 final drive instead of the oem 3.25 (d15z6 euro model tranny vtec-e model)

itr 5-lug.

been at the dyno but did not do any power runs. steady state at 4500rpm showed 100hp at the hubs and 0.5bar boost. power goal is as much over 200whp without going over 0.8bar boost.

thanks,

sorry about the pictures. i only have cell phone ones so none are realy good.

it's an Air\water ic setup. bell core

and the 100hp is bellow vtec and at 4500rpm. d16 power usualy shoots up at 5-6K and make good power from 6000rpm and out.

it's a vi-pec v44 ecu and prologger afr\boostcontroler.
walbro 255 pump high pressure version.

just back from the dyno, had some problems with boost creep over 6500, but it didn't creep over my max boost of 0.85bar untill 7500.

I could not be more happy with the outcome. goal was over 200hp at the wheels.

last run was 246.1whp @ 7300 and 260nm @ 6000. sae corrected

I recon there is a few more hp from fideling around but I called it a day after 3 hours on the dyno, and having the creep issues i know i have to go back for more, after i've ported the wastgate hole

That's a pretty nice little setup you have. I'm glad you also decided to have reasonable goals for it. I'm also in for the dyno graph

not the best quality, but it will do. never mind the dip in at the end of the run, it's fuel cut due to boost creeping over 0.85bar.

Very cool setup . Just curious why did you go with the air/water ic setup rather than air/air for a street setup?

I was wondering based on the location it says. Its cool to see what people are doing in other parts of the world.
