Lol sorry, when I posted nobody cares about I wasn’t referring to the people here. I know people are following including people I know that live don’t live nearby. I even had to get a pro account on photobucket, but on a personal level everybody is against it. It doesnt matter anyway , I am not looking for cheering if anything hopefully it helps people on gathering parts.

Anyway I have fixed all the issues I have encountered I just simply run into another one after I fix one. Its not that I am not expecting to have problems, this isn’t the first car I have had, its simply the one I have done the most work too. I know I am going to have to replace this and that but with any obsession its a good idea to step back for a little bit. That’s all I am doing.

If by shortcut you mean ebay parts, yes I have done that and yes it cost me time and money instead of saving time/money. Live and learn but its no reason to call it quit, but after I removed my ebay parts I havent cut corners.

I see where you are coming from with this, but its not necessarily correct, but considering to what I post here I know where you are coming from. Since I don’t post everything I do with the car here. If anything I have done the opposite of what people have told me to do. When somebody post an opinion on what it is, I do check it but I have generally found them not to be correct and I just move on.

Since I lost the keys I cant work on it even if I want too, so while I figure that out I will simply gather my thoughts and go from there... so in a few weeks time i will go back to working on it and figure it out

Edit* Videos below, doesnt appear to smoke, like stated ^^^^ I will continue later

sorry to hear about the hassles you're having to deal with.
take your registration & title to a honda dealer and get a new key.
i bought a greddy kit off some local, put it on my car and it smoked like crazy.
i had to get the turbo rebuilt. i'm not saying thats your issue, just that sometimes it seems like its a fight.
anyways, hope to see this thing running soon.

I will go to the dealer sometime next week, the only key they will be able to give me is the driver side but at least I will be able to get in the thing. Then switch out the ignition switch and figure out a way to get into the trunk. Will take this chance to switch out the locks and have one key instead of having 4 damn keys for 1 car.. Hopefully they will give it to me with just the title.

So I got keys for the car but unable to open the trunk. It still doesnt start but in the mean time I been thinking on what to do and what I have decided is little extreme but whatever. Hopefully as early as next week I am going to pull the motor and break it down again. Going to start over and swap out the pistons, rings and bore out the block and add a block gaurd. I know block gaurds are considered to be useless but it shouldnt hurt anything. Since I am officially making the block weaker with messing with the bore, it will give me peace of mind at least. While I am in there I can take a look at the crank and bearing and see what I can do with those.

I will look back into fjt and reorder everthing, going to keep the rods, and head the same and get rid of the stock pcv system.

I also been looking for a rebuild kit for my turbo as well but so far all I found are ebay. Which will turn my garrett turbo into an ebay turbo which in turn will make it suck. Will probably just send it out

I will post many photos while I do this

(edit) I have to add this, I am still laughing... my p2w is an AMAZING .0085.. yea that just might cause issues. O WELLS

I am not to sure what this means but it wasn't there last time I pulled the head off

Anyway it doesn't matter.. just getting ready to bring it back to the machine shop. Going with the 75.5 vitaras and new rings. Along the way making a few changes to the setup, such as oil feed, pcv etc etc.

Bored at work, so might as well update this.

The engine is in horrible shape, it would have never run properly and the machine work done on it is questionable at best.

My girdle or cradle w/e is a total mess & the rods I don’t know what wrong with those. It was either a poor attempt on balancing or just or the girdle was notched with the rods installed or something... I don’t know.

I never expected that the source of all my problems would be the cylinders themselves. I figured since they where professionally done that shouldn’t be the problem. My error on that I should have taken the motor apart to double check. The P2W at .0085 is the equivalent on having all four rings blown. Looking at videos of cars with blown rings on you tube and its the same exact thing that is happening to me. The 156 comp results just threw me off

Anyway I am kind of disappointed that the same exact time last year I was buying pistons and breaking apart my block, and here I am doing it again. Its whatever at this point but I hope it doesn’t take me another year to get this running.

Parts are trickling in again i guess, I got the 75.5 pistons in today and bring the motor to a machine shop on Friday to bore it

so the rods were making contact with the girdle?
i can't really tell from pic
are you re-using the rods then?

and the 75mm vitaras were loose in the bore? or cyl's out of round?

at least now you are finding out the problems...

The cylinders aren't egg shaped, just to big for the pistons. The motor stock ran fine, no smoke at all, I even gave the stock internals away and checked out fine. When I found out the p2w was .85 I just laughed even though I died a little inside.

on the girdle
What you see there on the girdle is a poor attempt on notching. My rods are also chewed up on random places which frankly pissed me off. I will post photos later

you know you can just put all your pix on facebook and never worry about photobucket right? Heck, I have some pix that are on myspace and they are still working on this site, and they were posted over 7 years ago.

I am looking into other options for hosting.

This is a link to all the crap I pulled out of this thread just in case anybody that trips over this happens to be wondering what is going on.

http://s443.photobucket.com/albums/q...sol%20Project/

The block is still at the machine shop, I will add from this point forward to the thread.

In the meantime I am working on a valve cover just to take my mind of all the **** I have going on right now. I got this idea after playing around with the Neptune ecu and looking at that demon inside sticker on it. I purchased a valve cover that I will be using for this.

Pretty much took my icon, made it bigger, re sketched it spent a few hours on CG and now just have to change the design to make it morbid/evil & ****ed up background. Then its off to put this on. This should keep me busy until I get my engine block back

Well hello honda tech, its been a few weeks, going to be vague with this update because I don't feel like going into it.

Motor installed

I am having residual issues from my previous setup. The engine doesn't want to start and when it does, it doesn't stay running or run properly. I have gone through everything and I cant seem to get the problem to go away. On the photo below it has stock injectors on. They will suffice for break in with a 7psi/5k fuel cut.

So instead of freezing my *** off and flooding the motor by stupid trial and error, I am going to do what I do best. Just buy everything all over again, new dizzy, map, tps, iacv, Iat, fpr, fuel filter, all of THEM! Screw it the car is going to be 20 years old soon it will only help me in the long run.

Btw went back to the OEM FPR, the blox one cant hold pressure at all, not sure what happened to it.......AEM here I come

hmm the funny thing people seem to have luck with those ebay ones. I am interested too on what this manifold can do, one thing I hate about it is that it rust so fast that you can actually see it happening.

lol ya any cast iron will have that issue though. I painted mine with the 2000 degree paint so it wont rust but it comes off in tiny chips after It gets really hot so im going to header wrap it too.

ya there really is no stopping rust on a cast iron piece that hits 1600+ degrees on a reg basis. you could clean it all off and try the high temp paint they sell at autozone, it works for a while but will come off in really small flakes.

Not going to paint it at this point, just wrap it. As far as performance, in theory it should work better than a log. I don’t really have my hopes up too high but it will definitely work better than the HF I was using before.

I placed an order for most of the parts. This is the last batch of parts I am ordering to get the motor started. If it doesn’t work I can’t continue working on it, I would have to put it in storage somewhere until I can take up the project again. If it does then I will go ahead and finish the suspension and body.

Ordered a 68mm throttle body, 3 bar Hondata map sensor, new TPS sensor, IACV. Ordered another throttle because my last one was 70mm and was bigger than the opening of the intake manifold. I am not sure it that would have affected the map sensor in any way, so as a precaution ordered a 68mm and a new map sensor. Still have find a distributor somewhere and an IAT sensor.

I ****ed up this i know...

I recently bought the miricle "engine gasket kit" a aftermarket waterpump and timing belt, and a supposedly re-manned head that honestly looked pretty damn clean when i pulled it out of the box along with arp head studs. we got all of it on, and instantly the waterpump failed due to a large hole that developed shortly after the car firing up. so after tearing averything back down, we threw on the old water pump just to see if the engine would run, and now its got a mad oil leak coming from what looks like directly under the plastic housing from behind the cam gear. it also has a slow leak on the opposite front corner apporx. same height. We pulled the head off again to make absolute sure it was the right head gasket... all of the inner holes lined up, it fits?, but there is a suttle difference in the outter edge. after reinstalling it same thing!!!

so am i ****ed? is it a warped head? Shitty head gasket? basicly do i burn this bitch to the ground soon and walk away a little happier or hold out and hope she moves again.\

any help is appriciated, talk ****, be brutal, i just need to hear some ****ing answers
