D15b JRSC dyno! Finally!
OK well I finally got it done,
it was a bit of a frantic day, up to the last minute installing stuff,
adjustable fuel pressure reg. , fuel press gauge, had to buy and install
a new belt,
drove off without putting my gas cap back on yesterday and it got ran
over.. so I needed a new one of those.
Installed my new 450cc injectors and got a basemap for them only the day
before..
plus I had to uninstall all the original Jackson Racing fuel stuff.
But in the end things turned out good I think.
Made 177hp and 134.7tq, boosting 9psi.
crazy thing is that I totally forgot until RIGHT after they finished
tuning that I had my base ignition timing retarded 4degrees..
(car was tuned for 16deg and I was at 12), we turned it up afterwards
and car felt better.. but no dyno of it,
so I'd say it's probably around 180whp.
Heres the chart, LMK what you think,
I know you might expect more torque, but what can I say, 1.5L
OH and props to redzone for the tuning!

redzoneperformance.com brandon and jeremy tune the cars together. they rent out a dyno nearby
they Rom Tune using Crome and hes runnin stealthmode 450/440 Saturated Injectors. and a B&M FPR.
from what i saw
JRSC stock header, high flow cat i think, and exhaust. and short ram intake
some great gains can be found if he got a bisimoto/An-r header i think
and a test pipe. definatley. that was the biggest bottleneck i saw. however im guessin he wanted to keep it street legal. very clean btw.

I do all the work that I can do myself, tuning is the one area I won't venture into just yet, leave that to the pros!

Whats the stock redline for that engine? Good numbers for a supercharger. Would of expected a higher TQ figure though..

stock, mmm i duno, like 7200 or 7400,
i have mine set to 8
but if you were there, it was screaming so much on that dyno, I was gona **** myself, and we kept it lower.
I think there is more power to be had up top too, cuz you can see it starts getting pretty rich, they could have massaged that more, but we were on there long enough.
About the torque, i attribute that to the displacement, one guy on here(sn ROY i think)
made 215lbs with a 1.6 at 8lbs of boost.. sooo yeah.. its not the jrsc fault, haha.

a/f looks pretty darn good, with a nice and safe 11.5:1 up around redline.
i bet your torque went up a noticeable amount if you added 4 degrees back in

Re: D15b JRSC dyno! Finally! (blackeg)
i'd leave the AFR"s 11:5 up top cuz the JRSC's need a lil more fuel to keep the combusion chamber cool cuz after that thing gets heatsoaked it might detonate a little. i rather keep it on the rich side for the JRSC setups for safe measure.

yeah, i had jeremy do my timing when we got back to the shop. He put it to 15, so thats 3more deg added back in.
brandon said it'd probly add like .2 to the AFR,
so thats like 11:7 up top, which is still gravy!
And we were talking about hooking up a portable wideband and just double checking later on, so if need be I could do that..

Re: (sohcvtec66)
Thanks!
And yes, I think 200whp is definetely possible!
I think I may go back and redyno to see what the little change in ignition timing does.
i'm at 15 right now, he tuned for 16, if it looks good on the dyno then I can see about going to 16.
Maybe even I'll let em retune cuz they said with alittle more time they could make
me some more power... if I have enuf money ,haha.
I think 180/140 is definetely possible on the current setup.
