Default D15 Turbo

Anyone else with comments to these parts..

td05h turbo
std manifold
dsm 450 injectors and 1g blowoff
z6 and y8 heads

I havent driven a d series that has been boosted, some say 190-220 with just turbo setup leaving the stock head, all this work is for a 94 civic dx hatch. Will be doin pulleys, ex tranny, eliminating a/c.. What about a cam gear or even nos, talk to me fella's

Have a 94 civic dx hatch.. Looking to turbo it (winter project). I have all the part listed above. I was wondering what kind of power range to expect. Also if it was worth doin a head swap, in light of the fact that I would only be uping the compression and in return having to lower boost. It wont be a daily driven car but at the same time not looking to be constant mechanic.

Everything looks fairly standard fair for a homemade turbo setup. Similar to my old T25 boosted Y7. The power range you listed is achievable, but... BE CAREFUL. The D15 has pencil thin rods. Fuel/ignition tuning is very important. A head swap is not necessary, neither are pulleys. A cam gear can come in handy. Nitrous...well...technically you can add it. Realistically, it would be one of the most stupid things I've seen added to a boosted stock 1.5 Personally, I'd at least find a D16 block to use.

The rods are something that Im gonna have to make up my mind about before I do anything, whether to upgrade or find a 16 block. Ok with keeping the stock head, would goin to the y8 intake manifold be any better (was posted by some1 in a previous thread).

there's only one company (forgot which one) making rods for the d15 and its ridiculously expensive....u'll be better off building a d16.
ur setup looks fine, i made 192whp with pretty much the same setup at at like 8.5-9psi, with the stock b7 head....was running strong for more than 4k miles, then i spun a bearing broke two rods....blah blah....
i'd start with this, boost it till it blows, and then get a d16 block, use it with either of the heads tht u mentioned...
and, if you need to see pics of the rods, i can get you some, of my broken ones...
