Turbo D15B7 or Turbo Mini-Me??? Which one?
I have a 94 DX Coupe... and I want to turbo the car, first I was looking for a cheap z6 swap, but couldnt find one... but i have a couple d16z6 heads that are laying around, and I was curious if I should do the Mini-Me turbo, or the complete D15B7 (DX) Turbo.... I didnt know if the gains were actually that much better... I searched and couldnt find a lot of info. Can you guys please give me your opinions on this.... Thank you very much!

Throw that Z6 head on the B7 bottom and boost around 6 psi. The vtec head would do wonders for the B7.

This has been asked before, you have to decide what is the limiting factor in your setup. In this case the limiting factor is your rods and not your head so screw raising your compression and making it harder to tune. Just boost the B7 and turn the boost up 1 psi to make up for no sohc vtec head.

You don't think a Z6 head on the B7 plus ~5 psi boost would be better than a non-vtec head?
I'm probabily wrong, but just throwing the Z6 on the B7 block, stock everything, the compression would stay 9.2:1 (oem specs) just allow higher revving and a better powerband high-end?

no throwing a vtec head on actually raises the compression. I kind of agree with just leaving it nonvtec and turning the boost up a little bit more. The amount of power those rods can handle is the limiting factor and not the amount of actual boost. Plus tuning will be so much more simpler. Zer0daze actually made some pretty impressive numbers with his y8/b7 setup though and his still seems to be going strong.
