Default d series turbo ?s

Like the title states I'll soon have a d16z6 motor in a sol and I want to turbo it. But have a few questions I couldn't really find one answer to.

My main goal is to hit the 200whp mark and anything past that is just plain bitchin. This will be on a stock block. I know most of the components I want to use because back at the begining of this year I was thinking of turboing the motor of my old car but went NA instead. I was thinking about a good condition t25 or 14b but don't know much about them(I know they weren't reccomended for bseries motors but that's about it).

Also what cam should I use to maximize power output, or is the stock one fine? I was thinking of maybe the zex/comp cam.

Please keep in mind this will be my DD. Budget is somewhat of an issue...I plan to spend around 2000-2500 for the whole setup including tuning which will be done on crome pro. I don't plan to do block work till next year.

I would just keep the stock cam for now.

It'll give you a nice gain throughout the powerband, but if you only want 200whp for now I'd go with the T25, a log mani, 6" JRC FMIC, ARP headstuds/new OEM headgasket, & 310cc (or 440cc DSM) injectors, whichever you can find cheapest.

That is pretty much my setup and I made roughly 240whp in a stock Z6.

wow, tht to me is impressive. especially since my modded b16 only made 158 & 110...but it was NA with every bolton & stock cams untouched internals.

Would a cam gear really make any difference in hp or tq. I know on my b16 by playing with the cam gears I only gained maybe 1whp.

If I was going to get a cam (I will eventually, can't afford it because of the current build ) I would go with the Zex or Comp 59300.

For an NA motor there's supposed to be a gain of about 10-15whp across the powerband, with a turbo car you're looking at even more gains.

Cam gear won't do anything, even if you get a ZEX/Comp cam because those cams are setup perfectly to run at 0* retard/advance.

Yeah that's what I figured.
