Default which d-series for boost?

Okay well my d15b7 **** the bed with my budget turbo setup. Now i can get a jdm d15b vtec(130 hp) for about $500 with about 45k or i could get a obd1 DOHC ZC non-vtec(130hp) for about $650 from nippon-motors. I am leaning toward the ZC cuz of the DOHC and i think its a stronger motor but i am not too sure. I need peoples opinion's or expierences with these motors for which one is better for boost. Thanks!

ZC is defnitely stronger but you can get a z6 in the states for a lot cheaper than $650. Seeing as a D is a D, it doesn't much matter.

I agree with nonvtecD. I would go for the dual cam zc if your going to spend $500+ otherwise I would try and find a z6/y8 for $300 or less. Or I stick with the A6 because I can usually find them for under a hundred bucks

z6 fo sho. Unless your up for spending the 500 or so, then go with the ZC. Either way, its alllll up to you.

i LOVE d16a6's . nothing wrong with them...

dohc zc's arent any "stronger" but the head flows better. the bottom ends are virtually identical, just diff. pistons.

i boosted my Z6 and i love it. z6/y8 have a way bigger aftermarket. Also if something breaks its always cheap to fix

I'll agree with you there but as for parts for the JDM DOHC ZC; couldn't i use the parts from a 88-89 teg that has an A6, meaning gaskets and such.
