ok, for those of you that read my previous post, you know that i just bought a GReddy kit for my Prelude.....
i was just wondering about the blue box........ i have and engine (ok, well, it's almost done) that is built for turbo.... forged low comp. piston, GE sleeves, forged rods, head work etc..... what is my best bet for the blue box???
should i:
A) keep it, run at 7psi and be happy
B) hook it up, and hack into it with a V-AFC somehow
C) foroget the blue box, use a V-AFC hack in the ECU
D) blow the blue box up on the hood of a mustang
E) let my friend run over it in his B18C5 swapped EG

I would choose option A. The blue box is not really that bad. If you follow the parameters given by Greddy then the blue box is your ticket. If you want to crank up the boost like everyone else then its not for you.
If your in doubt do like I did. Double check the a/f ratio with a wideband O2. My box was hella rich through out the rpm range. WOT was at 11.5 and partial cruise was around 12-12.5. Rich but safe. I still use the box for long distance runs. It gets great mileage. Once I got over 350 miles to a tank with normal boosting here and there.
