Cutting out in boost
Need some advice on what this problem might be. My car all of a sudden starting cutting out as soon as it hits full boost. You can feel it starting to spool up but as soon as it would hit full boost it flashes the cel and feels like you let off the gas. The cel goes back off immediately and doesn't store a code. I don't think it's anyway related but the last 2 things I did to the car before this started was put an oil restrictor on the turbo supply and installed an odyssey 689mj battery. I've checked for boost leaks, vacuum leaks, replaced the plugs(gapped to 28) and cleaned everything inside the distributor but it's still acting up. Any help/suggestions would be appreciated. Here's a rundown of the setup.
9:1 gsr
SC61
CRFAB manifold
Tial 38mm
RFL BOV
Edelbrock intake
MSD 6al
MSD wires
GM 3bar
TurboXS mbc
Precision 880's
P28 w/s100 tuned by stoney @VSV
I'm probably missing some stuff but I'll post a picture of the setup just in case.
I'm wanting to get the car retuned by Tony1 on E85 w/neptune but would like to get this fixed first in case it's not tuning related. Thanks again for your input. Here's a couple pics

Re: Cutting out in boost (Topdawgg)
Yeah I though the same thing about the map sensor but it's only been on the car for about 100 miles. I made sure all the wires were pushed into the plug good. I just hate to buy another one and that not be the problem. The cel only comes on for half a second when it cuts out and then goes right back off and the car runs fine again until you try to run it hard.

does s100 have boost cut? If so then maybe that is it. If not then i bet you are having some strange ecu issues. I would test another ecu with your chip in it.

Just FYI...
just cause its an upgraded map sensor, doesnt mean its 100% reliable...
I had a 3 bar crap out on me last year... no similar symptoms to yours, but mine would just DUMP the fuel in, and flood my car like CRAZY...
i could unclip the injectors and it would run for about 7-8 seconds without more fuel..

This crossed my mind too but I don't think s100 has boost cut and I've got the boost turned down from 16(what it was tuned on) to 14 psi right now. Maybe I can find someone with another 3bar and another socketed p28 to borrow and try. I appreciate everyones help.

Cool, I'll try that. Thanks again!

Re: Cutting out in boost (PrecisionH23a)
Well, obviously it is boost cut. I turned it down to what should be 10psi and it ran good through 2nd and then it shut down again in 3rd at around 20psi I'm not sure what it boosted in 2nd because the car has a ctr tranny and it's kinda hard to watch the tach and boost gauge unless it's in 3rd or 4th gear. Anyone experience problems with TurboXS mbc?

I'm using one right now and haven't had any problems whatsoever.

Re: (PrecisionH23a)
the gauge reads about 22hg in vacuum and always has. Would this numbler be off with a vacuum leak or is it possible to stay the same? Thanks again for everyone's help!! At least I'm getting closer to fixing it.

Re: (dturbocivic)
Not this time but I've had that problem before. It would die when it did it and not crank back up for 30 minutes or better. That **** will **** you off when your trying to troubleshoot something. I'm still not positive what I did to fix that problem but it stopped.

Re: (alex_s817)
Well, I got it fixed. I had to turn the boost controller all the way back down to the bottom so it would just run off the wastegate spring and then work it back up from there. The car runs great again now. I'm still not sure how it got turned up so high but I'm glad it's fixed. Thanks again for everyones help. I really appreciate it.
