Custom Turbo for H23a?
Hi, I have a 93 Prelude Si and I would like to get a custom turbo kit for it. I was thinking of a T25 turbo and Starion FMIC. What else would i need aside from manifold, bov, and IC piping? And where would i get the manifold and piping from ? how much could a setup like this cost? thanks

Re: Custom Turbo for H23a? (PreludeSi93)
dont get any of those. the t-25 is like a hairdrier and the starion intercooler is not that good either. Get a custom t3/t4 turbo kit and you will be better of. it's not a good idea to cut corners when going F/I. Do it the right way the first time.

Re: Custom Turbo for H23a? (PreludeSi93)
t25 would be way too small for the h23. get at least a t3 or spend some money and get a t3/t4. I myself have an h23 and am piecing together a kit with a t3/60-1 turbo with a .82 trim. Anyway, other than what you mentioned, you would need a wastegate, downpipe, oil supply and return lines, modified oil pan, some attention to your fuel supply, boost controller (if you want to) turbo timer (or you could let your car idle after each time you drive it) boost gauge, i don't know, i could go on and on, it all depends on what you want to go for. I have only heard good things about the starion fmic but be prepared to reweld the end tanks. you could get a manifold anywhere, drag, revhard, the classified forum of this site. You could get the piping from summit. just search around, you'll find good deals if you want to.
