Anyone recently order a set of custom sized pistons from JE? What kind of turn around time are you guys seeing? I was told 3weeks and its been 2months this week.

 

6 months on 1 set 86mm custom piston and 84.5mm custom took 7 week

 

It took them 6 months for my 78mm ZC pistons...

But it was worth it. I just have to wait another year for the engine to get built...

 

JE took about 8-9 weeks on a set of custom H23's for me. Then what the **** did they do? They cut the piston wrong where the top oil ring is placed. So that was another 2 weeks of bullshit i had to go through. Their customer service helped me out greatly, but the individual that was responsible and was supposed to take care of the matter for me did nothing but get an attitude with me. JE are quality pistons in my opinion so dont think im talking **** about the company, im just sharing my little experience with all of you thats all.

Yikes! 6months?!? I don't have 6months to wait...2 months waiting to get my car back on the road is long enough.. The pistons are definitely top notch; I had 85mm JE's but it only took like a month to get them. Now I'm waiting on 85.5mm I may hold out for another 2wks.

 

another option might be Ross custom pistons. Only 2 week wait

How long did it take CP to make custom pistons for you?

 

CP custom is around 2-3 weeks but i would also check out the wiseco from larry at endyn

 

call up race engineering and speak with jon, it took about 2 weeks for mine... but jon owed me a favor.
