I have a B16 tranny with a Quaife in it right now and I was wondering if anyone knows if I can put GSR 3rd and 4th gear in it and LS 5th???(or if someone want to trade me for a gsr with a quaife in it)
Im not a big fan of B16 gears but I love gsr gears from my experience But gas prices now a days are a grip so I cant be up in rpms on the highway THanks for reading guys

p.s. This is for a boosted daily driven family car

 

yes you can swap the gears over.

i have switched my gsr tranny to all type r gears. my cousins tranny is a b16a cable tranny with a ls 5th gear.

at our shop we repair a lot of trannys, and mod them in various ways. too bad your not local to me.

 

the only gears that have to stay together are the 1st and 2nd. that depends on what input shaft u want to use. b16a and type r are the same. gsr is on its own, and ls is on its own.

yea, you're good to go all you need is the correct parts. however, you gotta watch out who you let work on your tranny, its easy to mess up if you aren't careful.
