Default Curious about spool time

I'm curious about other people's spool time on an s366. I feel like this things doing really well considering the motor. It's an 8.5:1 83mm b16, stock port head with itr cams, victor x, 2.5" ic piping besides the 3" cold side pipe. Using our twin scroll top mount. S366 .91ar, 4" downpipe. Just did some street pulls last night on e85 to get it ready for the dyno.

This was third gear.

When I increased compression ratio 4.5 points it didn't affect spool at all.

I've heard compression doesn't affect spool much.

Its recovery "spool" that is what the increased CR does, to help get to the effective compression faster in between gearin. On a one pull dyno, NO....

I retract my previous statements. I was incorrect. This is true. It doesn't affect spool much. It was something else.

I went back and found the thread I was thinking about.

Thankfully turning 9500+, that's not a problem either.

I had an s360 before. 22#@4800 with it. Switch to e85, s366, and c02 time based controller. World of difference. The car barely spun street tires on 22# on the last setup. Took it out last night to do a few pulls to get it close before it goes on the dyno and was spinning 24.5s on the highway on 24#. Planning to turn it up to 30-35#.
