You can use the CTR cams, just get some gears and dial out some of the overlap. They have been dyno'd on turbo cars, charged cars, no2 cars.. you name it. In every case they made more power than stock cams with the correct gear settings.

Although in tuning them down, you wind up losing much of what you gained with the CTR's to begin with thanks to the down tuning the overlap. The stock B18C cam can run a more aggessive timing than the B16B cam for this reason, but it's your call. BTW if you wanna sell those CTR cams, let me know..

people really have no idea... do they? stuff like this gets me a little heated when people respond to sell them when they have had no prior experience with cams like this... yes they will work and yes u should keep them... u just have to tune them correctly

if ur not happy with what u have now... then u wont be happy with a supercharger... there isnt much room to really get more power as oppsed to a turbo... there is so much more potential in a turbo

Now we are really off topic!
I know that there is more potential, but for a newbie to get his hands a little dirty and who would like more reliability than trouble-shooting and would not like to continually spend $ on tuning this and that, do you recommend it?
By the way, do you still have your NSX?

Ctr's are great cams for FI a little overlap never hurts to get things spooling either! (Keep in mind I said a little)
You can make great power with pretty much any stock Honda cam and FI, but like it is with NA or anything else... the more you open the valves the more you can cram in there at one time... same for the exhaust cam... more in more out. Ctr's would give you more power through out the rpm band and they keep pulling up top too. The thing that you want to watch is duration. If the duration is to long then you blow some of the prime AF mixture right out. Lift is good for any performance application but the duration dictates weather the specific cam would be good for FI or NA. Example: CTR's/Type "R" cams etc.. have a short enough duration to be FI friendly. Toda "C"'s Jun3's would be less friendly as the open duration event is to long.
