Crazy noise from clutch????
OK, So I got my car out the other day, been dormate for the winter, and drove it. I have heard this noise before when racing next to cars but never from my car. Anyway, at hard launches and at very hard 1-2 and 2-3 shift, it sounds like the sprung hub in the disk bouncing back and forth for a second or so. Its really odd sounding, like puffs of air 3 or for times a second. Anyway, is this normal? I know my clutch master stage 3 never did it, but now i have a competition clutches 4 puck ceramic sprung hub. Thanks in advance.

Re: Crazy noise from clutch???? (4-banging)
no noise at idle, but i think i know what it is. It sounds like air going pft-pft-pft-pft.... got me thinking exhaust leak uder heavy shock load (shifting and launching hard)...and it hits me. My header donut springbolt flange gasket at the test pipe fell off at the track when I was running open header. I just bolted it back up and forgot all about it. I bet its leaking under torsional flex w/ no donut gasket...DOH.
