Default CP and Wiseco same bore?

Well I had my block sleeved and bored to match a set of wiseco pistons, but when they were shipped back 2 of the wiseco pistons were damaged. I am getting paid by ups for it so I want to order a new set of pistons instead of just the 2. Will a set of 81mm CP Pistons fit in my block that was machined to 81 mm Wiseco pistons or should I stick with Wiseco. The CP look nicer, they are cheaper, and i think they will result in sleightly higher compression.

Thanks,
Craig

NO!!!

wiseco are 81mm piston and you have to bore OVER 81mm to the specified piston-wall clearance. CP pistons you bore the Cylinder to 81mm adn the piston is UNDERSIZED to provide the correct piston-wall clearance. you will have twice the piston-wall clearance necessary if you try to put CP's in a wiseco bore.

look nicer? Huh?

Dont ever let packaging and a shiney finish sway your decisions, especialy on internals

If you favor CP's due to their track history and others experiences with them then go for it but if its because CP pistons "look nicer" then allow me to cast my ballet for your entry into the ricer hall of shame.

Pistons only look nice untill the motor is fired for the first time and cant be seen at all anyways once the motor is assembled

CP is more expensive by a lot

I realize the whole looks thing, everyone seems to have good experience the cp and I have heard nothing but good things of them, sorry to confuse.

Price wise I looked at race eng and they have the set of wiseco pistons for 450 and the CP's for 105 each, this may not include the rings though.

Give me the EXACT bore on your block and I will tell you if CP's will work or not.
Not just 81mm but 3.189" or 3.190" or 3.191" ETC.
