Default couple of ..............

Hey everyone! I'm a new member to this board!

Okay based upon reading of articles and asking questions on different boards, I've decided to go with a B18B for turbocharging. Now, I know there are some good transmissions and engine combinations. So I was wondering for my first question, what would be a good transmission setup for the B18B? I've seen some with the B18c5 transmission. I think that comes with the differiential.

I've tryed researching for answers but I'm not a very good researcher! But, believe me I have tryed for hours trying to find answers!

2nd thing is, can you please lead me on the right track as to choosing a good efficient turbo set up and perhaps you can give me some researching tips for finding the best parts combination? I don't want to get flamed for me asking these things! I've heard that you guys are a very good board and are very nice people! Bye for now!

P.S. Thank you for you help in advance!

EDIT: Here are my goals:

Daily driver, do not care about reliabilty.
Able to pass smog, I live in illionis, it's not as strict here as it is in cali or such places!
I want to get about 250 - 300+ hp. Just something to start out with and reach that and keep going if I can. If you need more information on goals just ask and I'll be more than happy to reply!

Si or GSR tranny would be nice. If you have the money ITR or Si tranny with quafie(sp) lsd.

I don't know what your budget is, or how much you know, but I would put together a custom kit.

Basicly you need to pick out a manifold, turbo, downpipe, wastgate, blow off valve, intercooler, and a form of engine management.

Then get a bunch of aluminized piping, oil feed and return lines, boost gauge, egt gauge...and if you have money fuel pressure gauge, oil pressure gauge, etc.

Big exhaust would be nice too....and a good suspension and tire package for traction...etc.

The list goes on and on and on...

Okay! So, custom turbo kit, with b18b, gsr tranny, and is it possible to get a quafie LSD with the gsr tranny also?

If anyone can please guide me on how to research for the best combination of parts for the custom turbo it? I'm not so good at choosing words. I hope one of you out there can explain that? Thank you!

A quafie can be purchased for any honda transmission that I know of.

Try just searching under the Forum Forced Induction, and type in the word "setup"

Here are a few sites that will help with parts.

lol...I kinda suck at searching too.

you can put in clutch...that will work fine. You will have to go through lots of threads to find what you want though.

most important IMO is fuel management. there are many set ups, from FMU to AFC "Hack" to a standalone like Hondata and what not..ive spent countless hours searching these forums for the best set up and for the money im going with the AFC hack. seems to be very reliable for boosting under 11psi and easily tunable so thats my 02 cents

T3/T4 or just a T3 .63/.60

Now, it's been a while since i've talked about turbos, please refresh me on what the .63/.60 means? thank you in advanced
