Could this be what is causing my overheating?
So I have been battling overheating for too long and now that the nice weather is here I had to figure out what the hell is causing my overheatinng.
So TECH III pulled my head and found a hairline crack on one of the valve guides (think that is what he said).
The head gasket they said looked good and compression good before taking head off was good across the board too.
Is this why it was overheating at boost and not at idle? It was after 15 mins. of driving around street is when it would overheat and I would have to turn my heater on just to bring temps. back down.

same here i couldnt see why a valve guide would cause overheating, the headgasket blocks off any colant going to the head...vavle guides could cause smoking but not over heating...some one correct me if im wrong though

+1
Could also be a thermostat stuck very slightly open; enough to cool at idle but not under (thermal) load.
