Could someone please explain what CFM means?
right CFM is cubic feet per minute which is a volumetric flow rate. u should also consider mass flow rates too. with centrifugal compressors, Q=volume flow rate and mdot=mass flow rate. Q is equal to the ratio of mdot to the density of air at the inlet. i could go into much more detail, but it would be easier to check out a fluid mechanics and or centrifugal compressor design text.
