Default Could someone educate me? CLosed Vs Open deck

I dont know much about this, but im trying to learn

could someone give me a quick tutorial on the two. what are the pros and cons of each or just some basic info? thanks fella's!

closed deck is where the water jackets section of the upper part of the block is now solid with drilled holes. Open deck is like stock when you can see down the whole water jacket.

darton makes a closed deck deisgn and GE block are the open deck with brace.
