Most of the time, you have to have at least 5 blocks to be sleeve at the same time. Other than that, you need to go through their dealer.
Why don't you try benson ? after bore and hone, they're both comes out about the same, Benson may come a little bit lower..

No need to lie to the guy. Actually other than the being sleeved part you didn't, but there's a big difference between closed deck, and open deck. Some people like me prefer open deck.

Benson offers open and closed deck. Closed deck is not as ancient as it was before blocking coolant on top of the water jacket causing over heating. Today's technologies on sleeves has gone way beyond the ancient days, even closed deck will not cause over heating like it had before.
I have had GE sleeves for forever and I like GE, but I am more lenient towards benson's work now...
BTW, Benson uses Darton sleeves that are specially made for his sleeves, FYI

Re: Cost of GE sleeve job??????? (Bob-DC2)
Thanks for that article it had some good things. I am not new to the sleeving process. I have a block now that was sleeved and had one of the sleeves crack the company said they will replace it but there company doesn't want you boring there sleeves out to 83mm. So I am going to go else where to get the block resleeved.

I should post up the video of how our new sleeving is performed. Totally blows away GEM, Bensons, RS, pretty much all of them. I seriously doubt any of those shops have this kind of engineering ability.
*edit. Well maybe GEM, I think they do some aerospace contract work.

Re: Cost of GE sleeve job??????? (93LSivic)
We do alot of defense contract work for the US defense system, Swiss Defense, Germany and a few others. We have over 20 yrs. of design and mechanical background and our owner used to be a head guy over at Rockwell Int. designing the B2 bomber and many other items as well as teaching classes to people in the Gov. for mechanical design theory, production and timeline scaling abilities for production of machined parts and the design thereof. I'd say we know a little.

just curious as to what stuff you do for defense system. Im sure some of it is secret stuff, but do you machine stuff for them or do some really long sleeves on ???

Re: Cost of GE sleeve job??????? (Bob-DC2)
No secret, we do a few things. I know you guys have heard of the Stinger missle right? We have made parts on EVERY SINGLE STINGER MISSLE in the us military. We make the guidance armatures, detector sheilds, secondary propulstion release mechanisms, and a few others. We also make alot of torpedo parts like the main frame board housing, magnetic frequency distribution boards and a few others. We also do alot of small parts for a few other military operations. Pretty cool everytime I say it.
