Controlling Boost

How do you control the boost on a Turbonetics Deltagate? I've heard alot of people talk bad about them, is there any reason why?

deltagate spikes quite a bit, we did some test before, hooking up air compressor to a deltagate and Tial, you'll see the difference in a heartbeat.
