Default Confusing Dyno Results...

Hey All.. I'm in need of some advise...

Setup: Del Sol B16A2 (stock), T3/T04e .48 ar .57 trim, Max Rev Manifold, Max Rev 2.5" DP, Tial EWG, 425cc inj, Uprated Fuel Pump, Ghetto MBC, Running the AFC Hack,

I initially got the car set up at the stock .45 spring in the WG.. I was quite happy with the results - (212whp, 175lb tq). I went back to the dyno last weekend to turn it up to 9lbs of boost using the MBC... and the results are 211whp, 192lbs of tq!!!

What could possibly be wrong?? I'm not sure of the A/F cos I never fot an AFR read out. Pls take a look at the comparison graphs below and see if u can notice anything..

Any advise will be appreciated.

I would think that either your exhaust is too restrictive, or you're running too rich
at higher psi.

Thanx echo - Well funnily enough I had the same 2 theories... I think my Zorst defo needs changing cos it's just the stock 2.25".... That's gotta be holding me back.

I also noticed on the Air/Fuel gauge that it is running pretty rich higher up...

Any other suggestions any1.

Are you losing boost at all? It looks like you have a lot more potential out of that setup if you get it fixed.

yer im using a 15shot of nos in low revs to get the turbo spinnig.
Not much of a shot but it give you that little bit more of a kick off of the line.
And its a back up when near the finish line.

I don't feel like I'm losing boost, although the torque kick is a lot more now but for not as long..

It just feels like it really wants to go but then gives up b4 it can get there!!!

It seems pretty obvious to me. Your using a t3t4 hybrid with a .48 exhaust side AR. You need at least like a .68 for a b16 motor, or you lose boost at the top end b/c a .48 is too restrictive for your motor. It obviously spooled to the full 9lbs quickly, which explains your higher torque peak, but your turbo ran out of breath at the top just like it did last time, which explains your lack of top end power. Bottom line is a .48 AR is a D-series sized turbine, and is way too small for a B. That's your answer. You can see where it dies in the graphs.

Surely that can't be right??? I was recommended this size tubby by Kyle... Surely it's capable of more than 9lbs.. and just over 210whp at that!!!!

well looks like your vtec stopped working or you running lean on the top end ... or your intercooler is shitty @ 9psi ... unless you look at your a/f graph thats the only way to tell my friend

I'll have to try and get hold of the A/F graphs.. But I also noticed an immediate drop in power as VTEC kicked in?? Could it also have something to do with cam timing??

The .48a/r is capable of way more than 210whp. Top end drop caould be due to the housing size tho.

U didn't mentioned the power drops as VTEC kicks in before?? I'd readjust the VTEC point higher up the rev range to see.

I think the tuner was on sum s##t when he was tuning it...Grease monkey
