I don't know if these vids belong here, but I see alot of people asking what compressor surge sound like, here is a perfect example of what it sound like. This car has no bov on it, that coo coo noise is pure compressor surge.

for some people it may not be as high pitched as that "coo", but the fluttering pattern pretty much sums it up.

? here... I have a greddy type s bov... my car is a 2001 prelude with a t3 t4 turbo... i only here my bov at higher speeds not when im crusin around... the car is a automatic... am i gettin compressor surge or does it not blow off at lower speed because its a auto?

 

It isn't blowing off because you aren't building any boost just cruising
