Get yourself a little mechanic's mirror and a flashlight. Position the mirror so you can see into the opening, and then shine your flashlight at the mirror from beside your cheek. You will be able to see right in there!

LOL, the opening to the vortech bov is massive. Get a small flash light and check when your car is idling to determine if the piston is up.

Also, when you are checking to see if it is indeed open at idle. Pull the vac line off and cap the line with your finger. The bov should shut when you do this. I wouldn't buy a new bov until after you determine both are junk.

Did you ever try what i suggested?? larger line from BOV to IM....i had the same problem and fixed it by running a wider and shorter line.....it takes 2 minutes, you might as well try it.

i did man. how large can i get? lol. no sexual pun intended

i used a "65112" from autozone vacuum lines. i might as well pick up a thicker line tomorrow. YOU BETTER BE RIGHT . lol.

but about the shorter part, i can't really make it much shorter. it's pretty damn short.

Huge leak from where? Cap the end of the vacuum line with your finger/hand.

Ha, yeah I have trouble sleeping If it doesn't open, then it is probably stuck. If that is the case, you can just take it apart to see what's going on.

Does it go back down when you remove the vacuum line?

Then it's working So that means that the problem is most likely and adjustment issue. Can you post a picture of how you have the bov adjustment screw?

well i set it all the way almost loose. do i need to tighten it?

also, when i was pushing the valve up, there was more resistance than the greddy type s.

okay well i actually did all the work today. . .
so here's the analysis dealie.

on the vortech, the valve is NOT up. i plugged the hole on the charge pipe with my hand and disconnected / connected the vac lines to see if the valve goes up. it does not. same for the greddy type s .

when i push the valve up on the vortech, and disconnect the line, the valve drops down. it doesn't not do this for the type s.
