Default Is this Compressor Surge?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dt49_ZQAbJ8

Listen to it at the end when the throttle is let off,

i have a Godspeed Kit, with a Godspeed BOV,
http://www.godspeedproject.com/store...roducts_id=160

i used to think the flutter was just the sound of the BOV, kinda sounds like a sprinkler , but it people started to say maybe it was compressor surge, i got kind of scared, but then again godspeed has 1 year warranty xP.

is my bov even working at all?

I don't know if you're hearing compressor surge in that video, hard to tell the audio isn't the best.

Doesn't sound like your BOV is opening though. But it's not going to ruin the turbo if you don't get it fixed right away, that's just another internet myth.

Yeah i didn't think mY BOV was working, my BOV is located on the passenger side, but sound sounds like it comes from the driver side.

how do you adjust the bov? i heard something about an allen key, do u losen all the little bolts around the bov?

There should be 1 bolt to adjust the BOV. Take a picture of it. I'm out in GG if you need a hand sometime

loosen the bov... what kind of ebay bov is it? the greddy knockoffs come with 2 springs that make it way too stiff, any turbo xs style is pure ****.

get a quality one and go from there

its a Godspeed one, it came with the kit, its SSQV Style BOV i believe,
the people at whitfield racing didn't say anything, my mechanic told me that it was indeed blowing, he said its a SSQV so it lets off pressure in stages.

ill go have someone else listen to it and check it out :O and prob look into another BOV

good thing Godspeed offers 1 year warranty on everything they sell :D

Lose the goodspeed bov! Never seen them work correctly and then suddenly they just stop. I would not also trust the wastegate too.

lol okay yeah this bov is prob ****, its not even godspeed brand, its not even adjustable.... , it has no screw in the back or anywhere for adjustment, no springs. what a p.o.s. :/, i just don't think it works in general.

whats a decent bov to get? not trying to spend 3 bills for a bov :O

that's why they have used quality BOVs. Most New ones are the low to mid-200s in cost.

i wonder if my vaccum lines are hooked up properly, the bov is hooked up to a "T" thing, looks like its going torward the intake manifold,

just wanna double check, so when i get a better functional bov, i won't be getting the same problem. im turbo noob, so the bov is supposed to somewhere on the intake manifold right?
