-easier to run a 4" inlet turbo
-easier to fit a filter
-smoother bends in the downpipe
-the compressor inlet wont suck in hot air from behind the radiator
-dump compressor outlet directly to intercooler end tank (no piping)

I would keep in mind that this is a 92+ civic and teg chassis.

The space in the CRX's, and early civics is by far limited.

Nah, there's lotsa room in the 1st gen CRX.

In the 2nd gen, they used that huge *** front crossmember. You're kinda hosed by that thing.

Wouldn't a Jimfab unit eliminate this problem?

Yep, it sure will...it will also lighten your car because your wallet will be a lot lighter.

Thats not really the problem....

The problem is that there is less overall volume between the engine, front of the radiator, and sides of the chassis to mount a turbo and air filter.

with this setup:

-4gen CRX/EF
-ZC motor
-Sparks racing manifold
- Precision SC32, mounted with compressor on drivers side
- APexi filter

There is about 3-5mm of space between the air filter and the chassis...

There is plenty of space for a 3" downpipe with my JimFab however
