compression test results ok?
well being that today i dont have to do anything, I decided to tinker around on the teg. for back ground its an ls/vtec, gsr head eagle rods and je 9:1 pistons. I did a compression test today the motor was cold and i got 160psi + or - 3psi, is that good? i was told it wasnt really the numbers that mattered it was how close they were together, plus i figure being cold it made it a little lower. Just wanted some input on what it looked like to everyone else
Well, since you did it cold, and I doubt you had the throttle wide open either, we really can't tell you anything man, it's good they are all close together but motors are all built differently and it should be done hot when everything is warm and expanded to where it should be. Then make sure they are all nice and close.
Some guys build motors with loose tolerances for FI so it really depends on your builder and such, just do the test right and see what you come up with.
