hey guys, im really not that smart when it comes to this stuff but i did a compression test last night and this what i came up with: 145 145 145 145. this is supposed to be a 8.5:1 cr motor. it is a b18a and b18a head gsr crank and rods and cp pistons. does this seem like decent numbers for the set-up? thanks fellas

 

seems good to me, my freshly built b17a1 @ 8.5:1 produces 150 across the board, so you look good!

*edit*: now go boost the **** outta it

 

sounds about right to me, alot more has to do with your compression that just your pistons. Cams, are the other big factor. So it could also be a guage that reads low

 

was the test done with the motor up to temp and with the throttle open?

throttle was wide open but motor was cold.

 

go drive it for 10 min or about, and try again with the throttle wide open
