well the problem i was having was with the car overheating. so i did a compression test this morning and i got perfect compresion except cylinder #2 it read 120, so i put a cap full of oil and it shot up to 170??? will this compression result in the car over heating? according to the haynes manuel it has bad rings, but there is no smoke and the car runs perfect.

the motor is as follows.
ls/vtec
wiseco 8:1
manely rods
arp headstuds
20 psi on crome pro

also the car has a dual core radiator, 2 fans hard wired to the ignition, new thermostat and water pump. the car is a crx.

 

u used to much oil, do the test again but use like 1/3 cap of oil.
