Default compression Test question LS/VTEC Turbo

Hi, My Ls/vtec is build since 2010, it's piston rod combo with SRP 9.0:1 and FJ Dist. H-rods. The car isn't daily drive, just some weekends on Sundays. It start smoking after warm up, i performed a compression test 193psi on ( Cyl.1-3-4) and 180 on cyl. 2 Dry test, and with a half lid of oil it boost to 195. This car always have around 195psi since build with my cheap tester.

This mean the rings in that cylinder are bad?

I wouldnt say thats bad, I would call that acceptable, you are definitely losing compression on that one cylinder obviously. are you having any other issues?

Yes, i found oil in the down pipe from the turbo rear seal. So repair of the turbo is priority, but non the less i'm planing on re ring the engine or bore it out to 81.5mm with new slugs, if the block not hold another hone to 81mm. for some time i wanted to raise the compression at least to 9.7:1 or 10.0:1.

might want to do a leak down test, bad compression can also be due to a leaky valve in the head or even bad headgasket
