Compression test question: didnt pull the fuse
I searched and read about people pulling the 15a fuse under the hood before cranking it for compression. Something pertaining to controlling the injectors?
Well I forgot to do that and just unplugged the dizzy and cranked it 10 times.
Would this hinder my results, or would that not matter.
Should I pull the fuse next time, or unplug the injectors?

it will hinder it a bit........i'd say. ......your best bet is to redo it and either pull the fuse, or unplug the injectors.....

do you know what your talking about?
the reason you pull the 15amp fuse is to kill power to the ecu....the motor will not get spark or fuel without the ecu....

Yes, i know what i'm taking about. If you didnt pull the fuse, the injectors are still firing making it possible to create a SMALL amount of seal becasue of the wetness of the fuel filling in a gap in the rings or something similar to that creating a little bit of a seal and giving you higher numbers. I know what you remove the fuse for. It wont hurt the dizzy to crank it over creating only a few sparks.

i know it doesnt seal the piston rings......the rings do....but if there are minor gashes in the cylinder walls and the injector has thrown alot of fuel in the cyulinder then the fuel can temporarily fill in those gashes beacsue it's not being burnt off, therefore increase your results just a LITTLE....not an ungodly 40 psi or anyhting........just a few lbs. either way.....the main thing here is that he should have unplugged his injecotrs or removed the fuse to stop the injectors from firing.

the way it could raise the compresion would be the volume of fuel filling up some of the space in the combustion chamber....where are you getting your info?

lol oh my....
Anyways, what would you rather do... fill your engine up with spark which will do nothing? or fill it with fuel and.. yea.... I'd rather not pump fuel into the cylinders as it WILL seep past the rings and into the oil.

like Tchleung said, it will definitely seep into the oil if you're just filling the cylinders with fuel and letting it sit in there. disable the injectors by either unplugging them, or pulling the fuse.

Up? That doesn't make sense.

I dunno. I did the same thing.
The car was warmed up, pulled the plugs, unhooked the distributor, unclipped the injectors, screwed in the gauge and it read an even 25psi higher than the day before with the injectors in
Did 10 cranks for every cylinder just like before
