how do i know if my engine compression is good for turbocharging ?

how much psi a stock d serise engine will peak?

what numbers should i get from the guy at the shop??

 

stock compression should be like 260, if its below 200 you have to rebuild everything...

 

what compression is good on a d14a6 engine?

Do you mean a D16a6??

260psi would be a good number to hit on an 11:1+ compression motor...you're not going to hit that on a stock d-series. I just did a compression test on my stock B18C1 (10:1 compression and should be around 200psi) and blew 195 across all 4 cylinders. I'd search around and see what's common compression for a6's...I'm sure someone's got to have done it...that's just my $.02.

 

ya i knew that, i was just giving him a hard time, since you could find that pretty easily just by searching. You aint gonna hit 260 on just about any stock honda car.
