verry verry low comp. numbers, even for a 9:1 engine. Your rings must be shot, how many miles on the motor?

yeah that's very low. it's hard to think that all your rings went at the same time but it could be a possibilty.

keep the throttle open and crank the car till the gauge does not go up anymore.

my 9:1 gsr motor is about 185-190 if that helps u any. I don't think not holding the throttle open is gonna make a 100 point difference.

It makes a significant difference. I forgot to go WOT once and was like wtf, then i went wot and the numbers came back alot better.

Plus, each gauge is different

ok well i figured out it was just the compressiontester itself, it was fucked up, did it again and got 175-155-155-155, and i warmed up thae car a little more......but the car still smokes, (white smoke), and i was reading that ur oil rings can go bad but u can still keep ur compression, is that true? dont think its the head gasket car doesnt overheat or anything, and turbo is fine no shaft play or oil in charge pipes......any help would be awesome thx

if your burning oil it should have a bluish tint to the smoke. Your compression numbers def arent the best.
