Default Compression Question

I've got the 1st gen JDM b16a on my built gsr block and I'm just trying to get a good estimate. My Mahle pistons were to give me a 9.3/1 comp. in the gsr block. By having the b16 head on there would it make it drop to about 9/1?
Built block, stock head in need of more boost- 13psi isnt enough for me

I'm not sure on the compression side of the question, but what are your power goals and where do you stand now?? If you're looking for more power, it wont really matter if you're using 9:1 or 9.3:1 if you have a the proper fuel, an efficient turbo and setup, and a good tune.

Would having a lower comp. ratio with a good set up and tune just put me in a safer zone for longetivity or would it be the tune? I don't abuse my car Ijust like to have some fun here and there..

The tune is really what will give you longevity. Lowering the compression ratio will allow you to throw more boost to the motor. Figure out how much power you want the car to have, then build it accordingly.
