Default Compression on a Newly Built Motor

When a newly built/rebuilt motor is assembled and the rings have not seated burning a lil oil here and there. Is the compression low compared to when it has seated, does the compression yield higher numbers or not by much?

For example when compression is checked at 10miles its 160 and at 1500m its 220.

Default Re: Compression on a Newly Built Motor (LsTurbo91)

All of my motors the rings seat immediately and the numbers will start out
in the normal range and go up as time goes on.
The motor shouldnt burn oil and have low compression.
