Compression + head question.
Hey guys
Ok so i'm currently in the process of building a b16b oem stroker (itr crank).
I saw this
and have been hooked since.
Anyways the basic plan is build the motor (stock port head, oem ek9 cams) with forged pistons, rods, head studs, valve springs. Run the motor n/a for a few months then install the Kraftwerks supercharger kit they are releasing for B series. The car will be running 98 RON = 93-94 AKI fuel for now, e85 at a later date when I feel I need the extra power.
From my limited information they are using;
Rotrex C30-94 with
"Boost will most likely be around 10psi-12psi, but will vary depending on pulley size, and redline settings".
So here's my problem, I was going to run 11:1 cp pistons but I later found out they are designed for the gsr combustion chambers meaning I would net less compression with a ek9/b16 head which wouldn't be as good for me while I run the car n/a (what would the compression drop be? .2?)
I also had the idea of running these JE 11.5 GSR ebay link which would net me 11.25:1 according to the seller.
What is everyones opinion on boosting with compression this high with stock sleeves @ 81.5mm, id like to avoid running e85 until I need the extra power but worst case I will?
If theres any info on setup ive missed let me know and ill see what i can provide.
