Default comparison between SPEC CLUTCH twin disc and EXEDY(pic's included)

I've been searching for a clutch for my turbo/nitrous setup. After allot of searching on here and talking with quite a few people. i made my decision. i decided to go with the exedy twin disc. shortly after i installed my exedy, After talking with some of my DSM friends i found out about spec clutch. After talking with spec clutch i wanted one. So I replaced my exedy twin disc with the spec clutch twin disc. I'm extremely impressed with the clutch. The quality, the warranty and the awesome customer service is second to none. I see allot of post on here asking with clutch for my setup and spec clutch is never one of the choices mentioned. I took some pics of my exedy and spec clutch side by side. the pic's speak for themselves. you can clearly see how better of a quality the spec clutch is. Also look at the size of the clutch disc. The spec clutch assembly is about the same weight as the exedy. I was told allot of good things about these clutches and after getting my own i'm a believer. onto the pic's

P.S. here a pic of my car. this clutch is going to hold the power i'm trying to put down.

I used a spec clutch before and it lasted 400 miles...not a twin disc but it completely came apart

Nothing against you but I would never buy a spec clutch. I have heard so many abd things about their clutches and customer service. A bunch of my friends bought spec clutches for their s4's and every single one of them failed. SPEC pretty much told them to go f themselves. There were huge discussions of spec clutches on audiworld. After reading all the bad expereinces I would never recommend them to anyone. Hopefully you have better luck with your clutch. I would keep the exedy for back up.

There was a thread on here not to long ago that someone bought the twin disk and many people said they also had bad expereinces with the clutch and company.

the LS1 community LOVES the spec 3's and the dual material Spec 3. i've seen a few honda ones fail..though

butttt, we're not talking ANYTHING about spec anymore..cause all that is...is a quartermaster clutch. they supply them for clutch masters, comp, OS Giken, and a few other companies as well. they take them, make the correct splined centers, and machiene flywheels...abd bam, you got a clutch kit

http://www.racingclutches.com/...h.gif

oh, and for the ppl out there wondering about replacement parts.....they have applications listed on QM's site for a Datsun L in 24x1 296064 is the number on the pp and 226064 is the number on the disk...so therorectically you could easily make your own twin disk setup wtih a 7.25" pp if you can get a flywheel machiened up for it
